Thanks for sharing the information; by the way I am a management student and trying to gather information about Jason Halek for my internal project. Jason Halek was only 10 years old when he started working small jobs in his community. With an outstanding work ethic, when he was 12 year old, he established a soft drink machine at his father’s office building; it was just the beginning of an entrepreneurial journey. Today Jason Halek is best known as an entrepreneur. He is philanthropist & established Halek Charities to help poor children. We need people like him.

My daughter was sexually abused, and I was beaten and left disabled with brain damage/uncontrollable seizures. My daughter, now 32, denies her abuse, defends and sides with her alcoholic abusive father. Last year she told me she wants my savings now, because I’ve been told I will most likely get Alzsheimers because of my brain damage, and have to go into a home. When I told her, “I’m not sick or dying yet”, she got angry and told me, “It’s my money. Who else would you give it to but me - I’m all you have left!” I was depressed for months. Then I removed her from my will and left everything to charity. She found out, e-mailed me, and said “only abusive, crazy parents remove their children from their will”. What would make a daughter turn against her loving mother, and become abusive herself, and defend her abusive father?

I could relate to this as someone who walked away from my daughters father and are divorcing. Friends are afraid to allow their children to come over to our house and play with my daughter. They are afraid that he father will stop by although a PFA is in place. I can't tell a parent how to feel or raise their child but it is like blaming the victim. My house is safer without him yet their child is not allowed to have play dates with my daughter. This hurts her and myself. I have never gone back to my abuser and yet my daughter is court ordered to spend time with the man who she watched abuse her mom. She was brave enough to call the police 3 times when he seperated us and beat me in another room. She was brave enough to save my life yet I can't save her from being forced to spend time with him. She e-mails me saying he is mean and can't wait until she comes home. Sadly this will go on for years until she can finally say to a judge that she doesn't want to see him. Until then, I escaped his violent temper but she isn't able to.

I'm in total agreement, Donna. Well said. A t-shirt I saw on a young girl several years ago might provide a little happiness -
"I'm not a tomboy. I'm an athlete!" I loved it when I saw it.
PS Her father was with her and told us he had purchased it for her.
