Please make checks payable to "A Woman's Place" and let
us know if your want us to keep your gift anonymous.
Through your generous support, A Woman's Place has been able to
continue to provide ongoing help and advocacy to families whose
lives are affected by domestic violence. Your gifts have helped
us to serve the Bucks County community for nearly 27 years.
In the coming year A Woman's Place is facing unprecedented decreases
in funding. Some of the shortage is due to the continuing downturn
in the economic market; other cutbacks are a direct result of broad
cuts in the 2003-04 state budget appropriations. At a time when
our funds are decreasing, the need for our services continues to
rise. In the last two years, the number of women seeking services
increased by 16.2%.
Almost half of our budget is raised from you, the members of the
community — through individual donations, church mission giving,
corporate donations, attendance at our fundraisers or through donations
and purchases at the Full Circle Thrift Store.
A Woman's Place is committed to providing services that are vital
to the safety and well being of the victims of domestic violence.
Your donation helps in a variety of ways
- $25 will provide 1 hour of empowerment counseling for a woman
or child
- $40 will give a woman a day of safety in our shelter
- $50 will provide two hours of help filing for a Protection From
Abuse Order
- $125 will provide a five-session "Peace Tools" classroom
presentation to 4th grade students
- $1200 will provide a full 30 days of safety in our shelter.
